One-Stop Wedding Venue

Unlike the majority of wedding venues in Cambridgeshire, we specialise in year-round outdoor ceremonies. Most couples choose to marry in one of our sensational outdoor pavilions – Lake Pavilion and the Orangery. Aside from these great places to have your marriage blessed, Minstrel Court also offers multiple romantic spaces to host your wedding reception, including a Marquee, a listed Barn, a gallery and a contemporary Lounge Bar. With a great variety of indoor and outdoor spaces, Minstrel Court is a perfect one-stop wedding location with no need to turn a single room around.

You can choose between two stunning venues to tie the knot at Minstrel Court. There is one Pavilion overlooking the lake and a beamed Orangery with a view of Wimpole Meadows creating two beautiful spaces to get married anytime. Both Pavilions are glassed in and fully heated, so you and your guests are sheltered from the elements.

Lake Pavilion

The Lake Pavilion is the perfect venue for couples to take romantic and graceful photos of their wedding day. Your guests can sit on the lantern-lit fairytale pavilion while watching you cross the Chinese bridge through the glass walls. This space can seat up to 140 guests undercover.

Alternatively, if you’ve always dreamt of a magnificent bridal entrance in an elegant aisle and reading your vows in front of an intimate gathering of your beloved ones, the Orangery is the place for you. Sheltered under a spectacular stained-glass ceiling and surrounded by the sensational views of the luscious Wimpole Meadow, this beautiful space is perfect for your cold-season ceremony. The Orangery holds up to 140 people and guests can access the Orangery through sheltered pathways from the Tudor Barn and Marquee.

Got your heart set on an outdoor feast on sunnier and warmer days? The Orangery and Lake Pavilion both have removable glass panels, allowing fresh air in to host a picture-perfect al fresco wedding.

Minstrel Court offers three gorgeous settings for your reception. You can hold your ceremony in the beautiful beamed Tudor Barn, the classy Marquee, or the cosy Starlit Hall featuring the 21st-century The Bar.

Tudor Barn

Built around 1810, the grade-II listed Tudor Barn is where rustic elegance and authenticity combine to provide a dreamy backdrop for your reception. With high ceilings, rich wooden beams, white walls, stained glass windows, and metal chandeliers, this space can make a stunning place to hold any part of your big day. This is one of the customisable spaces which make Minstrel Court one of the most flexible outdoor wedding venues in Cambridgeshire.

Equipped with dimmable lighting plus fairy lights on the beams and tall stained glass windows, the Tudor Barn offers a romantic atmosphere to serve your wedding feast. If you decide to have your guests dine in the Marquee, the Barn can make an excellent space for taking photographs. You and your photography team will enjoy photo shooting in a private location. You can capture stunning photos in a spacious ancient room with incredible natural light all day.

This listed location seats up to 130 guests and offers up to 10 round tables, plus a top table. Live entertainment facilities are available at the Barn. The insulation and heating system keep this space warm and cosy at any time of year. The barn also boasts its own gallery leading off to a peculiar bar.

Starlit Hall

Another adaptable space in Minstrel Court where you can host any part of your wedding reception is the Starlit Hall with original beams, floor-to-ceiling windows, and French doors adjoining the Terrace. The listed long room can make a comfortable space for dancing and entertainment of the evening. It has a light-up dance floor and plenty of space for your guests.

This multipurpose (nearly 120 square metres) room is large enough for a band and disco, as well as for a full-size photo booth. In winter weddings, it’s too cold to step outside into the gardens for your reception toast. Therefore, you can use the listed Starlit Hall for drinks and mingling. Besides, it features an amazing Sky Lounge Bar, which can be a hub for guests to relax and chat in a quieter corner of the party.

The exquisite twin Marquee with the spectacular views offered by the lake and the gardens is an elegant place for wedding breakfast and dining. The huge windows adorned by heavy drapes frame the gorgeous outlook and make a classy vintage dining room.

This splendid space is 200 square metres and can fit up to 12 round tables plus a top table and host anywhere between 40 and 140 guests. It is completely heated for cold seasons and on warmer days of the year. Besides, the entire front opens up, allowing for an al-fresco feast.

The room is also furnished with a chandelier, fully dimmable lighting, and a PA system. Newlyweds can also bring their own style and personal touch to the Marquee and decorate it as they wish.

The Bridal Summerhouse offers a spacious bedroom, a great dressing area, a dressing table, and an ensuite shower.
